Chris and I (the disfunctional Veteran) just got home from the National Reunion in Indianapolis. We had a great time.
I want to thank:
Alan and Glorine Bahl
Landis and Elaine Bargatze
Jerry and Donna Bumpus
Tom and Jo Greene
Carl and Jeanie Jones
Elmer (no phone) and Arlene Wischmeier

We missed Don and Ladonna Nelson. Please say a prayer for the Nelson family on the loss of a loved one.

I opened my big mouth at the reunion and said that the reunion in St. Louis will be better than the one in Indianapolis. Well will it? It all depends on the help we get. I know we can do it.

I hope to see as many folks as we can at the October mini-reunion at LORA. Please contact Jerry Bumpus for reservations and details.

Thanks again
Your humble, Disfunctional Veteran.

Hi to everybody, Donna and myself are looking forward to seeing everyone in a few days. Thought I would pass on some information, we have two of are chapter members in Afghanistan serving this great country. Please remember them. They both are doing good and will let me know if we can do anything for them. For those not going to the reunion I hope to see you at LORA in October.

I want to warn everyone that is going to attend the reunion that I have shaved my beard off so don't be surprised.
Last Thursday June 19, I received an updated list of registrants for the reunion next month. At that time, there were 131 total folks registered. Of that 131, 18 are from our chapter. I think that once again, we will have the largest turnout of chapter members. I want to get together sometime during the reunion to go to dinner like we did at Colorado Springs last year. I look forward to seeing all of you again. We are going to have a table set up at the reunion advertising our reunion. I received a tourism DVD from the Stl Louis Convention and Visitors bureau and we will have my portable player there to play it.
Chris and I were honored to be invited to the Engineers reunion in Branson earlier this month. I want to thank Carl and Jeannie Jones and Elmer (no phone) and Arlene Wischmeier for their hospitality. We had a great time and are looking forward to next year (if we are invited back).

Things on this end of the state are getting pretty dicey with the flooding that is going on. I hope that everyone is OK, the water is not too far from here depending on which way you go but we won't see any of it (famous last words).
Anyway, please keep in touch and let us know how you all are doing with it.

I want to thank everyone for attending the parade and meeting on the 17th. I am working on a letter synopsis of the meeting. Jerry, tell Donna that we are all thinking of her.
Anyone that wants to attend the fall mini-reunion at LORA, start thinking about who you want to share the cabin with.
More later, thanks Cliff for your work on this website

Landis, I'll get back to you as soon as I figure it out. Its been a while since I've looked at this, and memory isn't what it used to be. Wish I'd have thought of the CIB as a avatar. By the way, thats what its called, so what were looking for is a way to attach an avatar to each post. Got some updating to do to the chapter website also. With VFW activities gearing up seem to be running short of time a lot. Great seeing you all this past weekend. Its always a great time.

Cliff, I would like a CIB as the icon on the right side of my name.
Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication.

Jerry, missed you at the parade. Best wishes to Donna and we hope her knee is better. See you next time my friend. There was a nice size crowd at the parade. Everyone was attentive and very respecful to all of the participants. It's always a special event for me and being there with the Midwest Chapter members makes me very proud of our veterans. Our core group pf members were there, Don and Christine Kelby, Tom and Jo Greene, Cliff and Ruth Amos, Elmer and Arlene Wischmeier, Jeanine and Carl Jones, Alan and Glorine Bahl, John Harris, and myself and Elaine. Alan Bahl also drove his truck in the parade with a 4/42nd banner on it. We were standing tall and looking good! Landis
